Please forgive me for neglecting you for so long. You have been in my thoughts, I simply haven’t taken the time to sit down and write to you. Once again, September was a rough jolt of a month after the smooth sailing of the summer. We had house guests. School started. Getting up and having to be functional before 8:00 started. Teaching at Portland State started. We had more house guests.
None of this was bad or stressful. Each activity was something we had chosen to do. It was just busy. Now that the rain has started and October is in full swing, I feel like we’re settling into the routine, and I’m finding time to do things like reading, painting, sewing, hanging out with friends, and blogging.
I’ll stick in a couple of photos of what we’ve been up to lately. I hope you’re doing great out there in the blogosphere and that you too are busy doing what you love.
Until next time,
Nate’s good friend Michael turned 40 and his wife threw him a surprise golf tournament. It was our first venture onto a golf course.
Our friends, the Ramsdales, rode the train down from the fair city of Seattle to hang out with us for a weekend. It was fun despite a few miss-adventures (missing the tram, nearly missing the train). We love having a friends that only live a few hours away since most of our friends are so much further.
Our favorite band, Over the Rhine, comes to town to play in the uber-cool Doug Fir Lounge.
